Description:

Manufactured in 1882. The barrel has the one-line address, the frame has the three-line patent dates followed by "US," and the David F. Clark sub-inspection "DFC" stamp is located on the underside of the barrel, bottom of the frame, bottom of the grip and side of the cylinder. A "P" proofmark is stamped on the underside of the barrel in front of the sub-inspection mark and on the side of the cylinder. Matching numbers are found on the frame, trigger guard, back strap, barrel and cylinder. The loading gate has the assembly number "504." The revolver has an all blue arsenal finish and a grip with a script letter cartouche on both sides and the date "1882" on the left side.

Rating Definition:

Fine as arsenal refinished. The revolver retains 40% of the dark dip blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. The slightly undersize replacement grip is also fine with a couple tiny chips at near the bottom and some general minor handling marks. The grip cartouche markings are crisp. Mechanically excellent.
