Manufactured in 1885, the second year of production. Mostly standard markings and early features including front trigger bow slide release, open top frame, and the early patent marking (1883 patent dates only).

Fine with 30% original blue finish, traces of original case colors, dark brown and gray patina on the balance, some minor spotting, replacement rear sight, and mild edge wear. The re-oiled wood is also fine with partially smoothed checkering on the forearm and general dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
