Description:

Nearly 1,900 of these Model 1922 pistols were manufactured by Webley & Scott. These scarce pistols were a redesign of the Model 1909, and a vast majority fulfilled military contracts with the largest going to South Africa. Offered here is a commercial pistol, making it an even rarer variation of the Model 1909. The pistol falls into a serial number range (149500-149706) of 207 units manufactured in 1928. The slide has the "W&S" winged bullet logo followed by the three-line legend and safety on the left side and "MADE IN ENGLAND" on the right side. British proofs are present. The pistol has the late dip-tank blue finish.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The pistol retains 95% plus original blue finish showing some thinning to a brown. The grips are also excellent with crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent.
