Description:

The Model 1905 was Webley's first commercial semi-automatic pistol, and its overall design and ergonomics would influence many of the firm's full sized and pocket model handguns. The Model 1905 went through a series of alterations before being replaced by the Model 1908 and many differing characteristics on these pistols are found. This pistol was part of the first production run (serial numbers 1-7059) in June 1906. The pistol has the short extractor (1 inch) and bar safety, features that became standard on the Model 1908. The early slide properly lacks serrations and is marked with the "W&S" winged bullet logo followed by the three-line legend on the left side. Other early features include the tempered blue finish, thick hammer (.42 inches), visible trigger bar, adjustable rear sight, lever magazine catch and hook trigger.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The pistol retains 95% plus original blue finish showing some thinning to a brown and some minor spotting on the grip straps. The grips are fine with a couple of cracks and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent.
