The left side of the slide has the Webley & Scott winged bullet logo and Mark I N legend which is dated "1914." British proofs appear on various parts. The rear sight is adjustable for windage. The pistol has the early tempered blue finish, and falls into a British government contract for 3,329 units in the serial number range 2,551-5,879 dated from June 1913 to April 1915.

Rating Definition:

Extremely fine. The pistol retains 85% plus original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown-gray patina. The grips are fine with some scattered blemishes in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
