Description:

This model was produced from 1941-44 at both the Tula and Ishevsk arsenals. The top of the receiver has a very small small/faint "star" proof, indicating Tula arsenal and is dated "1942". Visible serial numbers ("B6223") are matching. Military style tangent rear sight with the hooded front sight. It has a standard Russian hardwood stock/handguard with the serial number on the left side and various sub-inspector proofs on the right side. It has the perforated metal forearm with the slotted muzzle brake. The rear of the rifle receiver was modified to accept an original Russian made WWII sniper scope mount. The rear mount has cyrillic letters followed by the number "1458" and is now fitted with a short WWII type, Tokarev PU 3.5x sniper rifle scope. The scope is marked on top with the "Star/hammer and sickle/half-moon mark/1942/No 76690". The top of the receiver has the correct factory notch with flat bottom and round corners and is properly proofed on the bottom of the notch. It is importer marked and numbered ("T16267"). With detachable box magazine, cleaning rod, leather lens caps, and a canvas scope/mount cover.

Rating Definition:

Very good as arsenal refurbished and placed in sniper configuration. With 90% of the blue finish remaining, small nicks and dings throughout, sharp markings, and handling marks overall. The stock is also fine with worn markings, and small dings and dents. Mechanically excellent. Scope is very fine with some scratches on the tube and clear optics.
