Manufactured in 1884 and subsequently upgraded to current configuration. It has blade and ladder rear sights, a barrel marked with the two-line address/patent dates and remarked "50-CAL," a dust cover marked "WINCHESTER EXPRESS/.50 CAL 95 GRS," a cartridge elevator marked "50-95," and highly figured, checkered forearm and straight grip stock. The left side of the tang is un-marked, and the upper tang stock cut-out has the frame serial number. A fantasy plaque is mounted on the buttstock (right side) that has a buffalo and the inscription "Atchison Topeka And Santa Fa R.R./New Mexico/Territories."
Fine as professionally upgraded, refinished and restocked. The rifle retains most of the custom blue finish and case colors showing. The wood has some scattered minor handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically fine.
