Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 90% plus of the original roughly polished late war blued finish, with spotting concentrated near the caliber marking and along the upper edges, bright edge wear and mild handling marks. The grips are also very fine, with a small crack in the top of the left panel and a few light pressure dents. The holster is good, a bit dry with some light wear. Mechanically excellent.

The right side of the slide is non-factory inscribed "ELBERT MOSLEY" through the finish; Mosley has not been identified. Fitted with a smooth trigger, serrated ring hammer, 60 degree safety, checkered wraparound Walther grips and a flat base magazine. With an unmarked pigskin leather holster, a 1945 capture paper made out to T/5 Kenneth Lloyd for this pistol (id'd by serial number) photocopied excerpts from relevant reference books, and National Archives information on Lloyd, a Canadian-born industrial clerk who enlisted in November of '42.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as inscribed (see above), with 90% of the original blue finish, showing bright wear along the high edges, mild spotting and light handling marks overall. The grip is fine, with a small crack forming on the back and light scuffs. The holster is fair as repaired, with a replaced belt loop and some scuffs and cuts. Mechanically excellent.
