Description:

Measuring approximately 46 inches by 49 inches (117cm x 124.5cm), this flag is trimmed with silver ribbon down the hoist and silver fringe on the other three sides, with a white embroidered tag for "Lohner Bruch" in the upper hoist corner; research shows Lohnerbruch as a village/peasant collective in Lower Saxony. A multi-piece Reichs Labor Service logo is in the center, with a black and gray ribbon swastika, embroidered wreath on a cloth circle, and a central "spade and wheat" symbol constructed chiefly from black cloth with black and white embroidered accents and details. The flag is installed in a plastic-fronted hardwood frame.

Rating Definition:

Good as framed overall. The flag appears structurally sound overall, with some minor bleeding of the red onto the swastika and some stains. The most prominent stain is a splatter on the right side of the logo, which has a dark color on the field and a more rust brown tone on the white cloth; while the coloration invites grisly speculation, the exact cause of the stain is unrecorded. The rear of the flag has not been inspected.
