Description:

Fine-adjustable blade front and tangent rear sights, "1916" date on the chamber and "DWM" monogram on the toggle link. Three "crown/letter" proofs are present on the right side of the barrel extension, with Imperial Eagle firing proofs on the extension, barrel and breechblock. External numbers are matching, excluding the wooden magazine base. Proper "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" markings on the upper safety position and extractor respectively, with a pair of checkered grips and a nickel finished magazine. Included with the pistol is a very rare fine adjustment tool for use with early-style fine adjustable Artillery Luger sights, darkened bronze construction with two thin spanner pins and a knurled body. Not often found, the tool was both fragile due to the narrow pins used to engage the sight screws and easy to lose, and the fine-adjustment feature was eliminated from later Artillery pistols.

Rating Definition:

Fine, with 75% of the original blue finish, showing areas of gray and brown patina, bright edge wear and mild spotting. The refurbished straw colors are bright, with vivid niter blue on the sear spring. Grips are very fine, with some light dings and chips. The tool shows a slight bend in one of the pins, but overall appears solid. Mechanically excellent.
