Serial number falls into the 1954/55 production range with this example shipped in September 1954 and featuring the rare nickel finish. It has standard S&W markings, import stamp, red insert blade front and adjustable square notch rear sights and diamond target grips. A Simpson Limited import mark has been professionally added to the left side of the frame below the cylinder. Matching serial numbers are found on the butt, cylinder and ejector shroud, and matching assembly numbers are found on the yoke and crane. Comes with an un-numbered .357 Magnum factory gold box with the short ends listing nickel finish and 5 inch barrel.

Excellent plus. The revolver retains over 99% original nickel plating showing a cylinder drag line and some scattered minor handling marks. 98% plus original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger. The grips are near new with sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is very fine showing some scattered wear and a hand marked "780" on a short end.
