Description:

The included factory letter confirms the rare 4 inch barrel, finish, grips and April 25, 1955, shipment to Andy Anderson Sporting Goods Inc., Oklahoma City. Standard S&W markings, importer marking on butt, matching serial numbers on butt, right grip panel, cylinder and ejector shroud. Comes with the factory gold box numbered to gun and "Helpful Hints" pamphlet. The box is for a 1926 Model .44 Military revolver but has a 1950 Model label on top of the lid.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The revolver retains 98% plus original blue finish showing very faint loss at the muzzle, light wear on the front cylinder face and a cylinder drag line. 99% plus original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger. The grips are very good with a minor chip missing towards the bottom (right panel), a few minor handling marks and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: Frank Staig.
