Description:

Manufactured from 1950 to 1966 with this example manufactured in 1956/57. It has the bright blue factory finish, fixed sights, standard S&W markings, importer mark on the butt and Magna grips. The matching serial number is found on the butt, right grip panel, cylinder and ejector shroud, and matching assembly numbers are found on the yoke and crane. The original factory gold box is numbered to the gun.

Rating Definition:

Excellent plus. The revolver retains over 99% original bright blue finish showing a very faint cylinder drag line and a minor scratch under the cylinder latch. 99% plus original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger. The grips are near new with sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is very fine showing a few scuff marks. Provenance: Frank Staig.
