Manufactured in 1937 with standard markings and features. The streamlined Model 61 was released to compete with Remington and Marlin's updated slide action rifles and replace the more antiquated Winchester 1890, 1906, and 62 rifles.

Excellent with 90% plus original finish, moderate cycling and handling wear. The buttstock and forend are both very fine with an overcoat of protective varnish and some minor dings and scratches overall. Mechanically excellent. Pre-war Model 61 rifles are always desirable and are rarely found in outstanding condition like this example.
