Description:

The included factory letter does not confirm the features, but does state the rifle was manufactured between 1955 and 1956. Manufactured without sights, standard markings on the barrel and receiver with a Leupold VX-II 3-9x40 mm scope on a one piece swivel base, jeweled bolt and follower with a knurled round knob handle. Checkered stock with contrasting forend and grip caps, raised cheekpiece, and a vented Weatherby recoil pad. The underside of the forearm has a small gold inlaid diamond inscribed "PETE KUHLHOFF". Kuhlhoff was a noted illustrator for pulp magazines from the 1930s until the 1950s when he became an editor for Argosy a men's adventure magazine where he wrote and illustrated technical articles about guns until his death in 1972. He was also the author of the book "Kuhlhoff On Guns" which was published by Winchester Press in 1970. Includes a reprinted copy Kuhlhoff's article "Roy Weatherby's Magnums" from the July 1967 Issue of Argosy magazine.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. 98% original blue finish remains with mostly light handling marks and some small cycling marks on the bolt. The stock is also excellent with crisp checkering, and a few scattered dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent. Scope is excellent.
