This highly attractive full stock pre-war Mauser Model 98 custom sporting rifle features a beaded blade front and two leaf (one standing, one folding) rear notch sights, double set triggers, light engraving around the breech with gold wire inlay, fine oak leaf and acorn engraving on the receiver, trigger guard, and bolt handle. With claw style scope mounts and Hensoldt Wetzlar Dialytan 4x scope. The floor plate is engraved with a relief cut bugling stag in a forest scene. Checkered forend and grip with horn end cap, scalloped horn grip cap, checkered horn buttplate, and leather sling.

Very fine overall with 99% of the custom blue finish, sharp engraving, and mostly light handling marks. The exceptionally fine wood has scattered pressure dents and well-defined checkering. Mechanically excellent. The scope is very fine with clear optics, however there is a small chip, in the upper left hand corner of the rear lens of the scope.
