"1889" dated cartouche and standard markings and features. These late production trapdoors would have mainly seen use as secondary weapons in the Spanish-American War and Philippine Insurrection. Only a few trapdoors, like this one, show little signs of use.

Excellent with 97% plus original finish, some minor handling and storage marks, and minimal light spotting. The colors remain 90% plus intact with slight fading around lever. The stock is very fine and has a few fresh dents, some minor scratches and dings, and a distinct cartouche. Mechanically excellent.
