Description:

Manufactured in in the correct carbine serial number range with a "C" marked raised blade front sight, elevation and windage adjustable 1901 pattern folding ladder rear sight with a "C" marked base, standard markings, smooth half stock with grasping grooves and separate handguard, single barrel band, and flat steel buttplate with a trapdoor compartment containing a cleaning rod. The left side of the stock is stamped with a sharp "JLA/1901" script cartouche, and a circled script "P" is behind the trigger guard.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The barrel has an overall brown patina with some light muzzle wear, small dings, and light edge wear. The oil quenched casehardened receiver has an overall mottled brown/gray patina with some light scratches, mild oxidation, and some light surface pitting. The stock is very good with numerous small dings, some scattered heavier dents, good visible markings, and some type of glue around the buttplate tang. Mechanically excellent.
