A) Exceptional Smith & Wesson No. 1 Third Issue Revolver

Description:

These Model No. 1 Third Issue revolvers were manufactured around 1868-1881 and were the last of the Smith & Wesson .22 caliber spur trigger revolvers. The No. 1 First Issue revolvers were the very first Smith & Wesson revolvers and launched the world famous brand. This nickel-plated No. 1 has standard markings and features including matching numbers. The barrel markings are on the rib.

Rating Definition:

Excellent overall with 98% plus original nickel-0plating, a few minuscule flakes, strong finish on the grips, and some minor handling and storage marks. Mechanically excellent.

Due to the shorter barrel, the address and patent marking are on the left side. It has matching numbers, and a factory star rework is on the toe under the grips.

Rating Definition:

Very good overall with 60% original flue finish on the frame, strong original case colors, gray patina and some minor oxidation/pitting on the balance, faint and partially eroded barrel markings, mild handling wear, and light scratches. Mechanically excellent.
