Description:

The frame dates to 1885 and has the two-line patent dates marking followed by "US" on the left side. The top of the barrel has the one-line address. This revolver has the mixed numbers and components typical of the Artillery variants. The grip has traces of a cartouche and is stamped "RAC" twice on the bottom. "RAC" is also stamped on the rear cylinder face.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The revolver retains 25% of the blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina and some very scattered mild pitting. The hammer and frame retain strong amounts of case colors in the protected areas. The grip is good with high edge wear, some minor scratches and some moderate dings on the bottom. Mechanically excellent.
