This very large replica of the iconic Smith & Wesson Schofield single action revolver features oversized working internals including hammer, mainspring, trigger, and even the ejector in the cylinder. The back strap is inscribed "GENE RULEY '08" and there is a "3" on the toe of the butt. This oversized working replica has a full blue finish with case colored hammer, latch, and trigger guard. This impressive piece weighs 31 1/2 pounds, and measures 32 inches long by 11 inches high from the heel to the spur of the hammer. With smooth walnut grip panels. Provenance: Gillespie collection.

Very good as custom made. 75% blue finish remains with areas of red/plum streaking, rough machining and welding marks, and gaps around the side plate and grip panels. The grips have light dings and some small chips. Mechanically very good. What a display piece!
