Manufactured in 1884 with a low two digit serial number (29). Equipped with German silver blade front and elevation adjustable rear sights on a barrel stamped with the two-line Hartford address/Elliot 1883 patent dates marking ahead of the rear sight. The rifle lacks caliber markings. The frame has a Rampant Colt on the left side and correctly lacks a sliding breech cover. Mounted with a checkered forearm and smooth straight grip stock.

Fine. The rifle retains 30% plus original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown-gray patina. The wood is good with the cracked stock having missing chips and slivers near the tangs and some minor-moderate dings and scratches. There is wear in the forearm checkering. Mechanically excellent.
