Introduced in 1871. The barrel has the "OLD RELIABLE" trademark followed by the one-line Bridgeport address ahead of the rear sight and "CALIBRE 45" at the breech and is fitted with blade front and Lawrence patent notch and ladder rear sights. The left barrel flat is marked "2 1/10" towards the breech. The action has double set triggers and is marked with the 1848 patent marking. The lock plate has the 1862 patent date. A saddle ring bar has been removed. The upper tang is non-factory tapped for a sight with an added third hole. The barrel and forearm have been renumbered to the gun.

Rating Definition:

Very good as rebarreled (see above). The barrel retains traces of faded original blue finish mixed with a smooth brown patina. The remaining surfaces retain scattered traces of period retailer refurbished case colors mostly in the protected areas, otherwise a mottled brown-gray patina. The wood is very good showing some chipping around a forearm screw and some minor pressure dents and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
