Manufactured in 1928. The barrel has the one-line Hartford address on top and "38 W.C.F." on the left side. The left side of the frame has the two-line patent dates marking followed by the Rampant Colt. The left side of the trigger guard has the number "1" above the Colt verified proof. Matching serial numbers are found on the frame, both grip straps and both grip panels with the last two digits "51" of the serial number on the rear face of the cylinder. The assembly number "124" is found on the loading gate and frame.

Excellent. The revolver retains 95% plus original blue finish showing some cycling marks on the cylinder, some holster type wear on the left barrel side and minor thinning to brown on the lower back strap. There is a long scratch on the barrel left by the ejector rod head. The hammer and frame retain 97% vivid original case colors. The grips are also excellent with a few minor handling marks and crisp checkering.
