There are no visible markings. It has a 3 3/8 inch spear-point blade, threaded ramrod, floral engraved scales, and a small compartment in the butt. Similar pistols were manufactured by Unwin & Rodgers in the 1860s and were no doubt also manufactured by various other firms in Europe. These would be very convenient on a trap line. Provenance: Gillespie collection.

Rating Definition:

Fine with minor aging of the scales, an absent rear screw from the right scale, dark patina and some mild pitting on the iron, and very little edge wear on the blade. Mechanically fine.
