Single bead sight on a solid rib gold-marked "XXV", double triggers and automatic tang safety. Choked improved cylinder/modified, 2 3/4 chambers with ejectors. Fine scroll and bouquet engraved casehardened action marked "CHURCHILL" in a banner on each side and "THE/REGAL" on the underside. The scrollwork is also featured on the forearm hardware, blued break lever and trigger guard. Nicely figured right shoulder, left eye straight grip stock (doglegged) with checkered wrist, teardrop side flats and bare checkered butt. Forearm is also checkered and has a "JMW" marked buttstock initial plate. Stock measurements are: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 1 3/4 inch drop at heel; length of pull approximately 14 1/8 inches; the butt is offset approximately 2 1/4 inches from the center line. Complete with a takedown case with leather corner protectors and marked "J.M.W." on the lid. Green felt lining with a Churchill label on the inside of the lid. Has a two-piece wooden cleaning rod with attachments and a pair of nickel snap caps.

Excellent. The barrels retain 98% original blue finish mixed with some thinning at the muzzles and light spotting on the left barrel at the breech end. The frame retains 60% of the original case colors, mainly around the fences and on the water table, otherwise has faded to a gray patina. The trigger guard has a smooth gray patina. The wood is excellent with some minor dings and scratches. The checkering is crisp. The case is fine with some minor handing marks and moderate wear on the corner protectors. The lining shows some minor wear.
