The gun also includes copies of the Westley Richards ledger pages identifying the gun by serial number. Birmingham black powder proof, Single bead sight on the concave matte rib marked "WESTLEY RICHARDS & Co. LONDON" with 2 3/4 inch chambers, bored approximately full and full choke, ejectors, and standard English commercial proofs on the flats. The treble grip action features Anson & Deeley/Deeley's patent markings on the water table with standard proofs, flourishes of fine scroll engraving on the sides, "WESTLEY RICHARDS PATENT EJECTORS" marked break lever, dual triggers, and a tang mounted automatic safety with gold "SAFE" position. Well figured checkered splinter forearm and pistol grip stock with a silver initial oval and serrated hard rubber buttplate. Barrel measurements: right and left proved ate 11/1, measuring .778. Stock measurements are: 1 7/8 inch drop at comb; 3 1/8 inch drop at heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull. Weight: 8 lbs 13.2 oz.

Fine as partially refinished (barrels and wood). 90% of the blue finish remains with a slightly visible polishing pattern along the barrel length, scattered surface scratches, and some small surface dings. The action has 80% original vivid case colors with sharp engraving, some light spotting, a mixed blue/brown patina on the trigger plate, and handling marks overall. The wood is fine with the forearm tip absent, some small chips along the forearm edge, well defined checkering, small dings throughout, and some chips on the buttplate. Mechanically excellent.
