Ramped beaded blade front with flip up hood and fixed three-leaf (one standing, two folding) rear notch sights with gold inlaid sight lines on a raised quarter rib. The top of the barrel is inscribed "J. Rigby & Co. London. England" in fine script, and there are British commercial proofs on the right side of the chamber. The receiver is engraved with fine leafy scroll, and inscribed "CAL 270" in a banner on top of the ring, and fitted with scope mounts. The floor and trigger plate are also finely engraved with "MADE/IN/ENGLAND" inscribed forward of the hinge, and a gold inlaid Rigby logo in the center of the floor plate. The serial number is inscribed on the trigger guard. With a knurled round knob bolt handle, nitre blue extractor, and Model 70 style safety. The stock is fancy figured European walnut with multi-point checkering, single reinforcing bolt, horn forend and grip caps, raised shadow-line cheekpiece and a solid rubber recoil pad.

Exceptionally fine as professionally assembled, finished and engraved by John Rigby & Co. With 95% plus blue finish remaining, some light spotting and pitting around the muzzle, light oxidation visible under the rib, and mild handling and cycling marks on the bolt. The stock is very fine with sharp checkering, attractive figure and some small dings. Mechanically excellent.
