Manufactured by Colin Stolzer of Stolzer & Sons Gunsmithing of Washington, Kansas, a custom rifle builder known specifically for their custom large bore percussion and cartridge rifles. This massive beauty of a double weighs in at a scale tipping 44 pounds! With a fixed beaded blade front and four leaf (one standing, three folding) express notch rear sights. The barrel rib is inscribed "C. Stolzer" and "2 Bore" ahead of and behind the rear sight respectively. The huge solid block receiver is inscribed "C. Stolzer" on the left and "Double Deuce" on the right with a Jones patent under lever, dual triggers, back action locks with hammer lock safeties, and high arched hammers. Fitted with a wedge fastened checkered forearm with contrasting end cap, and pistol grip buttstock with a raised shadow line cheekpiece, and solid Decelerator recoil pad. The stock measurements are: 1 1/8 inch drop at comb; 2 1/4 inch drop at heel; 14 1/2 inch length of pull. Rifle includes 17 rounds of 2 bore ammunition, large grouping of cast lead 2 bore balls, 2 bore ball mold, and reloading dies. This is the companion piece to the "Lil Deuce" 2 bore percussion pistol, seen below.

Excellent. 95% original blue finish remains with scattered surface scratches, some small areas of browning, and visible oxidation along the rib edges. The receiver and locks have 97% original slightly subdued case colors with sharp markings, and areas of visible spotting on the lever and receiver sides. The wood is also excellent with crisp checkering and some small dings. Ammunition is fine overall.
