Description:

Manufactured at an unknown date, both gloves colored brown overall, with the main body constructed from well worn suede, and the gauntlet-style cuffs from thicker leather, and fitted with a set of Eisendrath-branded buttons. The "Indian" script logo is printed on the outside of each cuff in seafoam green. Included with the gloves is a signed affidavit from one John A. Jones who procured a 1923 Indian Big Chief motorcycle documented to Hollywood legend Steve McQueen and found these gloves beneath a protective mat inside the sidecar. Famous for films like "The Magnificent Seven" and "The Great Escape", McQueen had a passion for high speed travel, performing many of his own vehicular stunts on film and dabbling in professional racing, winning the three-liter class in the 1970 "12 Hours of Sebring" race with a Porsche 908 and a broken foot and making regular showings in car and motorcycle races in California and abroad. Among other distinctions, McQueen was inducted into the Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame, held the title of highest paid actor in Hollywood, and served alongside Chuck Norris as a pallbearer for Bruce Lee.

Rating Definition:

Fine, with wear and tear appropriate to age and use. The pads of the thumb and a few of the fingertips on the left glove have worn through, as have the thumb and index finger on the right, with mild cracks and scuffs overall.
