Confirmed by the included Colt factory letter this revolver was used in factory testing and was kept by the Colt factory as an example of a nickel finish Python. The letter also confirms the caliber, barrel length, finish, target grips, and blue marker on left side of hammer indicating that revolver was test used at the factory. Complete with Colt maroon "Heritage of Craftsmanship" box with Custom Shop end label numbered to the gun.

Excellent. The revolver retains 98% original nickel finish showing signs of factory test use (numerous minor scratches and a cylinder drag line). The grips are very fine with some minor handling marks (mostly on the bottoms). There are a few minor nicks in the overall crisp checkering. Box is fine with taped label.
