Confirmed by the accompanying Colt factory letter, this pistol was an experimental prototype kept by the Colt factory. The factory letter also confirms the caliber, 4 1/2 inch vent rib heavyweight barrel, finish, and checkered stock molded within composition receiver and inlaid with nickel Rampant Colt medallions. Complete with factory case, "The Legend Lives" cardboard box and extra magazine.

Excellent. The matte stainless steel has some very scattered minor handling marks with some steaks of blue residue on the barrel and slide. The grips are also excellent with some scattered minor scratches. The checkering is crisp. Cardboard box with wear, tears, and partial missing of one end flap ear.
