Manufactured in 1941. Flattop frame with adjustable blade front and adjustable rear sights. Standard markings including "OFFICERS MODEL 38/HEAVY BARREL" on the left barrel side. Checkered trigger, hammer, and back strap. Fitted with checkered walnut grips featuring Colt medallions. Includes Colt black box hand numbered to the gun, with small tool, cleaning brush and numbered test target.

Near new in box with 99% original blue finish and only minimal handling marks. Very small amount of edge wear directly at the muzzle. Grips are excellent with crisp checkering, minimal handling marks and a small amount of verdigris at the screw bolster. Box is very fine with external labels and small amounts of edge and corner wear. Mechanically excellent.
