Very fine as arsenal refurbished. 80% of the post-war parkerized finish remains with areas of high point and edge wear, scattered surface scratches and variances in finish color on the receiver. The stock is good with some deep pressure dents, scattered chipping, and small dings throughout. Rear swivel for sling is absent. Mechanically excellent.

The included CMP bill of sale lists this rifle as being sold as a barreled receiver on December 17, 2012. The Mk.2 Mod. 0 was an early attempt by the Defense Department to convert existing U.S. Navy M1 Garand rifles to the now standard 7.62 NATO cartridge. Conversions were performed by American Machine & Foundry and Harrington & Richardson.
