The bolt, trigger housing, hammer, safety and operating rod are Springfield components, and the stock is marked with a circled serifed "P" and an "eagle" cartouche. With "MRT 7-59" marked green canvas sling and CMP Certificate of Authenticity that identifies the rifle as a collector grade M1 and lists noted author Bruce Canfield as the recipient. Very fine, with 90% plus original parkerized finish, showing some light edge wear and handling marks overall, as well as some mild spotting around the gas tube. The wood is fine, with a number of dings and dents, particularly around the receiver. Mechanically excellent.
