The revolver has standard S&W markings with "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the barrel underside and correct military inspection and proofmarks. Matching serial numbers are found on the butt, barrel, cylinder and right grip panel. The assembly number "4116" is stamped on the yoke and crane.

Excellent. 95% plus original blue finish remains with some faint muzzle wear, light cylinder drag line, and handling marks mostly on the grip straps. The grips are also excellent with some small dings. Mechanically excellent.
