The pre-war factory box has the correct white label on the underside which lists the matching barrel length and serial number. Provenance: Frank Staig collection.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The revolver retains 99% plus original blue finish showing limited minor handling marks and a light cylinder drag line. 99% plus original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger. The grips are also excellent with crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. The box is very good with some minor wear. A .38/44 Heavy Duty Post-War Transitional revolver with original pre-war box that would be hard to find a better example.
