Description:

Manufactured at the Remington Eddystone plant under contract for the British government. Fixed blade front and adjustable ladder and peep rear sights with the matching serial number stamped on the rear sight. The left receiver rail is stamped with standard British proof and acceptance marks, as is the under side of the stock wrist. The matching number bolt, safety, and rear sight ladder are correctly stamped with and "E". The rifle is fitted with the correct early pattern volley sights on the left side. The buttstock is marked "broad arrow/IE/PAT. 14/EY" with a smooth steel trapdoor buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. 90% plus arsenal refurbished blue finish remains with some small surface scratches, faint edge wear, sharp markings, and brown patina on the bolt body. The stock is also very fine with clear inspection and acceptance marks, small scattered dings, and some wear on the buttplate. Mechanically excellent.
