Shipped in October 1948, this revolver has standard S&W markings including the four-line frame address, importer marking on butt, rare special order bright blue finish, un-numbered Magna grips and matching serial numbers on the butt, cylinder and barrel. The proper gold corner tab factory K-22 Masterpiece gold box is un-numbered. Provenance: Frank Staig collection.

Excellent. The revolver retains 95% plus original bright blue finish showing some loss at the muzzle, some minor high edge wear, some minor handling marks and a cylinder drag line. Nearly all original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger. The grips are also excellent with some scattered minor handling marks and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. The box is very good with minor wear and a tear on the bottom.
