Dated "1939" over the chamber and marked "42" on the top of the toggle. Two "eagle/63" proofs and the spread winged eagle firing proof appear on the right side of the chamber, with the latter also appearing on the right side of the barrel and the left side of the breechblock. A smaller "eagle/63" is on the upper left rear of the barrel. The upper safety area and extractor are marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" respectively. Finish is full blue, and including the "+" marked blue/alloy magazine external numbers are matching. With a brown leather holster with no visible markings, a mixed numbered spare magazine and a takedown tool. Provenance: Gillespie collection.

Very fine, with 80% of the original blue finish, showing a brown patina on the grip straps, bright gray on the high edges and muzzle, and scattered light spotting and handling marks. The grips are very good, with some dents and stains. The holster is fair, with scuffs, stains and cracks. Mechanically excellent.
