Description:

Manufactured about 1934. Fixed sights, with matching numbers on the slide, barrel, frame and side plate, the one-line Oberndorf address on the left side of the slide, "Cal. 7,65-D.R.P.u.A.P." on the right, and the Mauser banner on the side plate, with a droop-wing "eagle/M" on the slide, "O. 788" on the front strap and "O.2364" on the magazine. These markings are typical for a sidearm in the Kriegsmarine inventory, specifically one processed and issued through a depot on the Baltic Sea (or "Ostsee" in German). Fitted with niter blue small parts and checkered wraparound grips. Included with the pistol is a pair of capture papers dated 31 October 1945 and addressed to a Staff Sergeant Albert Renati, listing this pistol by serial number.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 95% of the original blue finish, showing some light handling marks, bright edge wear and some minor spotting. The niter blue color is 80% plus present and bright on the small parts, with hints of a brown patina. The grip is very fine, with some light dents and rubs. Mechanically excellent.
