Manufactured from 1915-1942 with this example being a desirable target variation. The accompanying factory letter lists this revolver with a 6 inch barrel, adjustable target rear sight, blue finish and checkered walnut grips when it was shipped to Harper & Reynolds Co., Los Angeles, CA. It has standard S&W markings, matching assembly numbers on the yoke and crane and matching serial numbers on the butt, right grip panel, cylinder and barrel. The factory M&P box is numbered to a different gun.

Excellent. The revolver retains 98% original blue finish showing slight loss on the sides of the muzzle, some scattered minor handling marks and a cylinder drag line. Nearly all the original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger. The grips are also excellent with limited minor handling marks and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. The box very good showing a couple split corners, repairs and some minor-moderate edge wear. Most of the end label remains.
