Description:

Manufactured from 1915-1942. It has standard S&W markings, matching serial numbers on the butt, cylinder and barrel, a right grip panel numbered to a different gun and matching assembly numbers on the yoke and crane. The accompanying factory letter lists this revolver with a 6 inch barrel, blue finish and checkered walnut gold medallion grips when it was shipped to Murta Appleton Co., Philadelphia, PA. The un-numbered M&P factory box has a correct end label.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The revolver retains 98% original blue finish showing very slight loss on the sides of the muzzle, a faint cylinder drag line and slight thinning on the back strap. Nearly all original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger. There is a patch of minor pitting on the hammer. The grips are also excellent with a few minor dings and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. The box is very good with repairs, split edges, a tear on the lid and wear. Most of the end label remains.
