Operating out of his home workshop in California, John Martz is best known for his alterations and upgrades of Luger and P-38 pistols, all of which were performed by him and often took several months of work. This particular Martz Luger showcases two of his signature upgrades; the pistol has been reconfigured as a compact "Baby Luger", and upgraded to chamber the 45 ACP cartridge. Blade front and fixed notch rear sights, with a blank "crown/N" proofed chamber, "JVM" toggle link and "GERMANY" marked frame, with the "MSTR" Martz Safe Toggle Release mark on the left frame rail, and a full bright finish. Underneath the side plate the frame is marked "JVM", "86" and "BABY 205". Fitted with a pair of checkered grips and two "Baby" size 45 ACP magazines with "JVM" marked hardwood bases.

Very fine as custom made, with bright steel finish, showing some light handling marks. Grips are very fine, with some light dings. Mechanically excellent.
