Manufactured from 1946-1960 with the scarce 2 inch barrel introduced in 1949. Standard barrel lengths were 3 1/4, 4 1/4 or 6 inches. Standard S&W markings, pearl grips with S&W medallions, matching serial numbers on the butt, cylinder and barrel and matching assembly numbers on the yoke and crane. Comes with the factory box which is numbered to the gun and has an end label listing blue finish and pearl grips.

Excellent. The revolver retains 97% original blue finish showing slight loss at the muzzle, a cylinder drag line and mild thinning on the back strap. 99% plus original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger. The grips are good a couple small missing chips, a sizeable chip missing on the bottom (left panel) and a hairline crack. Mechanically excellent. The box is fine with some minor wear and an end label with much of the printing remaining.
