Manufactured in 1955. Single bead sight on the solid concave matte rib, 2 3/4 inch chambers, chokes marked at improved cylinder/modified, with ejectors. Left rear barrel marked "WINCHESTER - 16 GAUGE 2 3/4". Three line address and model on the left side of the water table and Winchester oval proof on the right side and on the barrel flats. Matching serial numbers. Single trigger with selector, tang mounted automatic safety with gold "SAFE" and mounted with a checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with a checkered hard rubber Winchester buttplate. The trigger guard is inscribed "T/R/C". Bore diameter is .675/.675, wall thickness is .025/.025, the drop at the heel is 2 5/8 inches, drop at the comb is 1 5/8 inches and the length of pull is 14 inches. Comes with a Cody Firearms Museum record sheet which verifies the gauge, barrel length, chokes, automatic safety, grade, pistol grip stock, hard rubber buttplate and that it was completed on 12-16-55. Also comes with a hard leather bound Winchester takedown case with leather corner protectors, straps and handle and canvas cover. The lining is wine colored felt and there is a Winchester Model 21 label affixed to the inside of the lid. In the case are two nickel snap caps, a nickel oiler, a two piece wooden cleaning rod and cleaning rod attachments in a black leather pouch.

Fine with 70% refinished blue finish remaining, showing areas of smooth gray patina on the fences, high edges and underside of the receiver, the bottom plate, refinished trigger guard and lower tang. There are a few minor scratches on the receiver. The refinished wood is fine with a small area of finish loss on the front of the comb and on the left side of the stock. Overall there are a few minor dents and handling marks, and the checkering is crisp. Mechanically excellent. The case and canvas cover are excellent.
