Confirmed by the included Colt factory letter, this pistol was kept by the Colt factory as a sample and display piece. The letter also confirms the standard Ohio Presidents markings and features. Complete with a Colt "wood grain" box with Custom Shop end label numbered to gun and a packing invoice indicating that pistol was "placed in the archives 5/15/80".

Excellent plus. The pistol retains over 99% original blue finish with only the slightest handling marks. Chamber has some minor wear. Grips are also excellent plus with a couple very light handling marks. Box is fine.
