This is an excellent example of a deluxe Winchester Model 1895 lever action rifle as manufactured in August 1904, that is chambered in the very scarce "35 W.C.F." This cartridge was only chambered in the Model 1895 and was the last cartridge actually developed for this model before production stopped. It has a deluxe fancy checkered walnut stock and forend with a hard-rubber, shotgun buttplate. It has the standard two line Winchester factory address and patent dates on the left side of the receiver, a small "matted" non-reflective roll marking on top of the receiver ring. The barrel has the standard two-line "Nickel Steel Barrel/Especially for Smokeless Powder" markings on the left side of the barrel and "35 WCF" on top at the breech. It is fitted with a standard Winchester half-nickel dovetailed blade front sight with an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight. The upper tang has the two-line Winchester Model 1895 marking, and the lower tang is tamped with serial number. "44741". As noted the deluxe fancy straight grip walnut stock and forend are both are factory checkered and both has the hand-rubbed "piano" type varnish finish. It has an all blue metal finish with a color casehardened hammer and locking lever on the underside of the receiver.

Excellent with 90% plus of the original factory blued finish overall with minor edge and high spot wear with some minor spotting/flaking of he blue on the upper rear edges of the receiver. There is a slightly noticeable, larger scratch on the upper right side of the receiver also. The highly figured stock and forend are both in excellent condition with 98% of their fine hand-rubbed, high polished piano type finish, with both showing some minor handling marks/light pressure marks in a few areas on the sides of the stock and underside of the forend. This is an exceptionally nice high condition Winchester Model 1895 rifle in a very desirable "35 WCF" cartridge.
