Manufactured in 1961 and subsequently finely custom engraved by an unknown but very talented engraver. The engraving covers more than 50% of the visible surfaces and surrounds the one-line barrel address and the two-line patent marking (in a nice banner) and Rampant Colt motif on the frame. It comes in a standard 125th Anniversary Commemorative case.

Very fine as professionally engraved. 98% plus of the bright nickel plating and vibrant blue finish remains. There are only some light cylinder rotation lines and handling marks. Some spots of the original gold finish are on some of the small parts, mostly in concealed areas. The case is very good with some minor staining and storage wear. Mechanically excellent.
