Manufactured in 1960 and subsequently embellished by Frontier Classics' Master Engraver John Schultz. The revolver features a beautiful three-quarter engraved coverage consisting mostly of floral scrollwork on a punch dot background. The loading gate is marked "FC" for Frontier Classics. The engraving is very similar to other known examples of Schultz's work. An accompanying letter (photocopy) written by John Schultz provides only a synopsis of his career as a master engraver, including having been called upon by the Colt Custom Shop to engrave Colt firearms and to make grips, assisting in the design of the Colt Cowboy Model revolver, and engraving guns for EMF and other companies specializing in reproduction firearms. The major components are nickel-plated. The small parts are fire blued. The right side of the grip features a relief carved bighorn sheep skull.

Extremely fine as embellished by a master engraver. The revolver retains 99% plus of the respective finishes showing a light cylinder drag line. The grip is near new showing the slightest handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
